How Marquez Plumbing Is Safely Operating During COVID-19

Apr 21, 2020Blog

In this strange time that we are living in, it can be quite difficult to tell who the essential workers are. Throughout the COVID-19 quarantine it’s important to know which businesses are open and running safely.

At Marquez Plumbing, we want to assure you that not only are we still up and running as an essential business, but we are also taking every precaution to keep our employees and your family safe.

It is also helpful for you to understand that we are continuing to keep up with the most recent guidelines designed to prevent the further spread of this virus.

Health and safety is our number one priority.

We are still here to serve you, our valued customers.

Our next priority is to make sure that even through this pandemic that your home’s plumbing is functioning properly and not causing any damage to the rest of your home.

We don’t want you to be hesitant about getting any plumbing issues fixed. As we all know, unattended leaks and/or other plumbing issues can cause more damage later on.

And nobody wants that inconvenience or financial headache.

We understand the apprehension in allowing people into your home during a health crisis. However, we want to assure you that we are prepared and we have a response plan to properly implement prevention measures.

It’s our mission during this pandemic to ease weary minds with methods and practices that allow your family to stay safe while still receiving excellent plumbing service.

Center For Disease Control Guidelines

Marquez Plumbing is taking this pandemic seriously and is continuously monitoring the CDC and the government’s instructions.

Our technicians follow the CDC directions strictly, for your safety as well as for their own.

We vow to go above and beyond to do all that we can to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to keep you safe!

Sanitizing Properly

Each of our technicians washes their hands for 20 seconds in warm water at every opportunity. When washing hands is not possible, they use hand sanitizer which they carry at all times.

Marquez Plumbing employees will also be directed to disinfect any devices and surfaces in your home that they touch.

However, they have been instructed to be as “hands off” as possible with any and all surfaces in your home that they do not need to touch.

Protective Equipment

We value our employee’s safety as well as yours. Each plumbing technician will be supplied with disposable masks, gloves, and boot covers.

We understand that wearing the right equipment can be the extra defense against this virus.

You are more than welcome to stay inside at a social distance while the plumbing technician is at work. You and your family members can feel free to wear masks and gloves as well while our plumbing technician is in your home.

Or you can even go outside and enjoy some fresh air, to add distance and take extra precaution.

Ensuring Social Distancing

Social distancing is a major priority. Each technician will respect the 6 feet rule and will ask your family members to do the same.

No handshakes or sharing of clipboards, pens, or tools. Social distancing is one of the best ways to combat this global health crisis.

Our company has adopted a no-contact policy that helps ensure safety.

We will do everything we can to work in your home without having any contact with your family.

Continuous Communication

To help us keep our no-contact policy, you can feel free to explain your plumbing issues over the phone and tell us where in the house the problem is. This way you may not even need to see your plumbing technician when they arrive to work on the problem.

Twenty Four hours before coming to your home we will be calling you to ask if anyone has had any fever or cold symptoms in your household.

And likewise, we will ensure that our technicians stay home if they have any symptoms.

If you have any apprehensions or would like to request extra guidelines, you can contact us and let us know how we can make you feel more comfortable while we provide you with the quality service we are known for.

We are taking every step possible to help our customers and our employees stay healthy.

Remember : safety is our priority! Marquez Plumbing is here to serve you with excellence, even through this pandemic.
